The ARISE™ Experience
At ARISE™, coaching-based mentoring is built on the belief that lasting growth comes through meaningful conversations—not giving advice.
Our mentors are trained to create psychologically safe relationships where mentees can reflect, explore possibilities, recognize their strengths, and discover solutions that align with their own values and goals.
Through evidence-informed coaching practices—including active listening, powerful questioning, and reflective dialogue—participants develop the confidence and skills to navigate educational, career, and life transitions with greater clarity and resilience.
Across every cohort, participants consistently report growth in:
- Greater self-awareness
- Increased confidence and self-efficacy
- Improved communication skills
- Emotional resilience
- Clearer goals and direction
- Authentic relationships
- Hope for the future
Voices of ARISE™
The Coaching Difference
Coaching-based mentoring is different from traditional mentoring. Rather than focusing on giving advice or solving problems, coaching helps individuals think more deeply, recognize their own strengths, and make decisions that align with their values and aspirations.
At ARISE™, we believe that when people experience being truly heard, valued, and empowered, they don’t just achieve their goals—they become more confident leaders, stronger communicators, and caring mentors for others.
Whether you’re looking for a mentor, interested in becoming a mentor, or simply want to learn more about coaching-based mentoring, we’d love to connect with you.
Leadership in Action: A Participant Perspective
Featured by The Menifee Experience | Regional Southern California Publication
In this five-minute community spotlight, ARISE™ founder Dr. Susanne Foulk introduces the program’s coaching-based, research-informed mentoring model — built over 25 years of organizational leadership and a deep commitment to women’s development. At the 1:00 mark, Jewels, a local small business owner and nonprofit leader, shares what the program has meant to her in her own words:
“You give that safe space to be able to share and create — and sometimes in that conversation, the answer, the next step, is created. That’s a huge gift.”
Jewels describes a mentoring relationship that did not tell her what to do, but instead helped her surface her own strengths, identify areas of need, and receive practical resources and tools to move forward. Her testimony speaks directly to the ARISE™ model: a coaching approach that listens first, reflects back what is already there, and walks alongside — never ahead of — the people it serves. This is what is meant by the transformative power of being truly seen.
